Spools AKA Cocktail Pool, Splash Pool, Tiny Pool
No longer limited by a small backyard one can enjoy the benefits of a pool and a spa all in one! Cool off in the summer spool and warm up in a winter spa to use year round. Choose from in- ground and semi-in ground, gunite and fiberglass! Install small for reduced costs then spend extra money on premium features that are more cost effective now that you are installing a Spool!
Premium Features
Since these Spools are created to fit in limited spaces you can go wild with your imagination by adding water features, fancy waterfalls, beautiful aggregate finishes, a bar or powerful jets to use as an exercise pool. The cost is lower for smaller pools so spend a little extra on the upgrades and splurge!
Waterfalls or Firepits FIRE AND ICE
Choose from a rainforest style waterfall or separate and multiple falls. This helps keep the water moving and helps the pool keep clean as well as helping with filtration. Use a massive vase that is piled up with rocks to replicate a creek’s sound and ambiance? If the waterfall exceeds 6 feet it should have its own separate pump. Imagine a type of waterproof pergola with a waterfall built in and cascading around the sides into your Spool! Firepits and Fire features offset the water feature and create an atmosphere like no other. Select small rectangular fireproof firepits and large round bowl firepits available for a chic minimalistic look for today’s Spool.
Add Bling! Aggregate, Tile, Glass and Stone Finish Out
Pool finishes come in many different materials. Ceramic, porcelain, glass and stone and the shapes, styles and colors as well as combinations of these are endless! Ceramic and porcelain tile are the most cost effective. You can design a whimsical fish, logo design or perhaps Art Deco graphics. Have designs painted on pool tiles for a special finish. Stone tile like granite, marble, slate and limestone tend to be used to blend into the landscape and looks best with modern architectural styles. Glass tile has been popular through the last few years due to its mesmerizing finish. It does not stain easily. It also tends to magnify light which gives the Spool a bright, clear shimmer. Pebble Tec is made of polished pebbles that have a bumpy texture and nonslip surface. There are 18 color choices and they can be custom made to your liking. This finish creates a natural sand beach look. Pebble Sheen has brilliant color option that include seashell pieces that add glitter and sparkle to the finish. This is the same technology as Pebble Tec but uses smaller pebbles for smoother finish. BeadCrete is fancier and more pricey. It’s made of of solid glass beads that are locked into a polymer-modified concrete for a 3-dimentional effect to the finish.
Upgrade with Many Flexible Uses
The Spool averages around 10-16 feet long and 6-8 feet wide. Turn your Spool into a swim spa! This is where you install a powerful jet to create a current to swim against where you can also customize the current. Resistance pools have the swim current generator where it allows you to simulate swimming across a pool but in a small area. Adjustable generators with a wide array of speeds is useful so settings can be adjusted for stronger swimmers and children. Swim up Bars are another way to fancy up your Spool. Install seats and a low bar for swim up cocktails. Lighting is another way to add dimension to your pool. There are many floating LED lights available as well as installed LED lighting in the Spool itself. The colors are endless and can rotate or be changed for holidays. Don’t forget the beautiful pottery and plans to add around the perimeter for elements of nature!
