Ceramic and porcelain tile are the most cost effective. You can design a whimsical fish, logo design or perhaps Art Deco graphics. Have designs painted on pool tiles for a special finish. Stone tile like granite, marble, slate and limestone tend to be used to blend into the landscape and looks best with modern architectural styles.
